Eyelid Surgery
PROVIDE SURGICAL AND NON-SURGICAL TREATMENT OPTIONS TO CORRECT DISEASE PROCESSES INCLUDING FACIAL AGING, CANCER, AND TRAUMA, TO IMPROVE FUNCTION AND TO RESTORE NATURAL YOUTHFUL APPEARANCE
EYELID SURGERY IN ORANGE COUNTY, BOTH FUNCTIONAL AND COSMETIC:
- Cancer excision (basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, etc.) and repair to restore the structure and function of the eyelids and upper face
- Trauma repair and reconstruction to restore the structure and function of the eyelids, tear system, and upper face
- Treatment for maintaining the health of the eye in patients with Facial Palsy (Bell’s palsy), by restoring the eyebrow position, correcting upper lid retraction and lower lid ectropion
- Repair of the tear drainage system (nasolacrimal duct system) to reduce tearing, and correct blockage (dacryocystorhinostomy or D.C.R.) that can lead to recurrent infections of the tear sac
- Removal of the eye (enucleation, evisceration, exenteration) and preparation for an orbital implant, when necessary

- Droopy eyebrow surgery (functional brow ptosis repair) to help improve peripheral, or side vision
- Droopy eyebrow surgery (cosmetic brow ptosis repair) to improve the height and symmetry of the brows, to reduce a tired, aged appearance
- Droopy forehead surgery (cosmetic forehead lift) to improve the height and symmetry of the forehead, brows, and upper face, to reduce a tired, aged appearance

DR. OMAR OZGUR
Dr. Omar Ozgur is a board-certified ophthalmologist fellowship trained in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Ozgur obtained his BS in Information and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. Prior to medical school, Dr. Ozgur worked as a software engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He then obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Hawaii, followed by ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mt. Sinai. He then completed an American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) accredited fellowship at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Medical Center.
