    Blade FREE Lasik Orange County

Which is better? Blade, bladeless, or blade-free Lasik? Let’s start by defining what these three (3) mean to patients researching Lasik eye surgery to correct your vision. The phrases “blade” and bladeless” come up often when patients research Lasik. What do they mean? Traditionally, Lasik uses an instrument called a microkeratome which cuts a thin flap of the eye’s cornea or transparent surface. n the past, that flap was lifted, and laser energy was used to reshape your eye to correct your vision. In 1999, a new technique was introduced using a high-energy laser called the femtosecond laser instead of a blade. It was the first FDA-approved bladeless flap.
