In early July I had the opportunity to climb Mt.Whitney, the highest peak in the contiguous USA. It’s a 22 mile round trip hike to a peak of 14,5050 ft! After an early morning start and some fortunate weather, we peaked at 2 pm. The view into the Sequoia National park on one side and the desert valley on the the other side was exhilarating. If you are interested, you need to apply for a permit sometime in January. Pack LOTS of water, granola bars and peanut butter sandwiches. Train by doing StairMaster and make sure you have comfortable hiking boots and walking sticks. Its arduous but well worth it!!
Cheers,
